Team Composition

Spooky Action Robotics is based at Highland Secondary School in Comox, on Vancouver Island, located off the rugged West Coast of British Columbia. It was started in 2017 by Jim Tattrie, our Lead Mentor. During our first year we learned a lot, and even if we did not win, it allowed us to prepare ourselves for this years First Challenge, Deep Space. Although we lost a few people from last year’s team, we gained many new team members ready to take on the new challenges that lay ahead!

Our Spooky Action Team consists of a diverse group of students and mentors. Thirteen student team members work alongside our six mentors and together we all work towards making our dream a reality. With the Western Canadian Finals approaching fast, the team is only permitted to build their robot until February 19 so the crunch is on. On the 19th, all teams must stop building and bag and seal the robot until gameday. The team is however permitted to withhold 30lb of the build (end effector) to work on during the stop build period.
